GreatLIFE Junior Tour

Mission Statement

The mission of the GreatLIFE Jr. Tour is to enrich the lives of junior golfers by helping build relationships that will last a lifetime while enjoying the wonderful game of golf.

Purpose

The purpose of the GreatLIFE Jr. Tour is to provide affordable playing opportunities for kids to play competitive golf.

Eligibility

All junior golfers under 18 and any college student under the age of 22. The field size is limited to the first 93 golfers to sign up. All golfers should be able to get around the golf course without unduly delaying play and with minimal supervision. They should be able to post a score of double par or less on most of the holes.

Format

All tournaments are 18-hole stroke play events. All play is in twosomes and threesomes to improve the pace of play. In most cases the first group of players will finish around the 4-hour mark with the last group around 4 ½ hours. We will hold the awards ceremonies as soon as all the kids are done in an age group. We understand the importance of your time and to get the results and prizes out in a timely manner.

Fees

The membership fee is $20, which includes a GHIN handicap. GreatLIFE members will pay $15 per event and Non-GreatLIFE members will pay $25 per event. All tournament fees include green fees, range balls and lunch after play.

Prizes

All divisions will win awards for each event. We will hand out medals and gift certificates to any of our GreatLIFE Pro Shops for the top three places in each division.

Divisions

Golfers will play in the age group that they are eligible for that day of the tournament. Any golfers wanting to play up a division will be at the discretion of the committee. Please contact Jason Sudenga if you would like to play up a division.

The age groups are as follows:
Ages 12 – Under
Ages 13 – 15
Ages 16 – 18
Ages 19 – 22 (College students)

GreatLIFE JR. CUP (16 – 18 Age divisions)

The winner of the 16 – 18 boy’s and girl’s division of the GreatLIFE Jr. Tour will each receive an exemption into the 2021 GreatLIFE Jr. Challenge put on by the AJGA. The AJGA is the “PGA Tour” of junior golf and hosts junior tournaments across the country. PGA Tour Member Justin Thomas and many others have played in AJGA events along their journey to the PGA Tour.

Each division will use a points system similar to the FedEx Cup on the PGA Tour. Players will receive points based on their results in each tournament. The leading points winner (16 – 18 boy’s and girl’s division) will be declared the GreatLIFE Jr. Cup Champion.

The points will be earned as follows:

1st Place – 500
2nd – 300
3rd – 190
4th – 135
5th – 110
6th – 100
7th – 90
8th – 85
9th – 80
10th – 75
11th – 70
12th – 65
13th – 60
14th – 55
15th – 50

Below is the 2021 schedule. We will have three events that will have bonus points. The events are highlighted in bold below. Unless noted, all tournaments will be a shotgun start at 8:00 am.
